Daniel DeVenney

Daniel DeVenney

Daniel DeVenney has truly grown in his four years of high school. He has truly found his calling in the dramatic arts. As a freshman he saw himself as an athlete, but this was not his calling. By the time he was a senior, he grew to become one of the top actors at Saint Ignatius. During his four years, he performed in seven different shows as a lead or supporting actor. He earned a very selective spot at the DePaul Theater School where only 16 students were selected out of over 100. He will be majoring in comedic studies and hopes to pursue a career in comedy. During high school he also competed on the speech team where he made it to the state tournament all four years and the national tournament his senior year. Daniel also served in the school's pallbearer ministry where he comforted those who lost loved ones while serving as a pallbearer at funerals. Additionally, he befriended the homeless while serving in the school's Labre homeless ministry. He is truly a Man for Others and enjoys bringing joy to others through service, entertainment and, most especially, laughter.
